George Howell introduced us to this single origin coffee a few years back and it's been our go-to ever since. We were lucky enough to visit the farm in February of 2019. Owner Carlos Batres gave up a career trading coffee on Wall Street to move back to his home country of El Salvador.
We love this coffee and we think you will too. It's chocolatey, nutty, with notes of bourbon. And although it's medium-roasted (better to taste the flavors that way!) it's bold and rich enough to satisfy fans of darker roasts. Grind it and brew it as a pourover, French Press, or even in a standard machine.
